In her first tweets since giving birth to a baby daughter last week, Serena Williams took to social media to gush about the “joy’’ it will be watching U.S. Open women’s finalists Sloane Stephens and Madison Keys, two Americans who battle Saturday.
Stephens beat Serena’s sister, Venus, in Thursday’s stirring semifinals. Serena has yet to post a tweet about giving birth.
The three tweets read:
There was reported friction between Stephens and Serena after the young American shocked her at the Australian Open in 2013 on the way to the semifinals.
Williams is expected back on tour for the Australian Open in January.
