In this summer’s Saratoga Showdown, the Post’s pony pickers John DaSilva, Ed Fountaine, Vic Cangialosi and Anthony Affrunti square off every day of the meet. Each starts with a bankroll of $2,000, with a maximum bet of $50 a day. May the best bettor win!

JOHN DaSILVA

TODAY’S PLAY: In the second race, Awesome Weekend should improve off his third-place finish in debut. Play a $20 quinella of Awesome Weekend with Comandante. Then play a $10 quinella part wheel of Awesome Weekend with Can’t Catch Me Now, No Nukes and Rockin Mandy. Total bet: $50.

YESTERDAY’S RESULTS: All bets refunded as key horse Gulfport was a late scratch because of the weather.

BANKROLL: $1,670

VIC CANGIALOSI

TODAY’S PLAYS:Cat Ferrad has been scratching all week and lands in today’s third race. Lets play $10 to win. Then $20 doubles using Blue Grass Music and The West Rim in the eighth with Karlovy Vary in the ninth. Total bet: $50.

YESTERDAY’S RESULTS: Big Screen looked good turning for home but flattened out in the stretch. Adriatic Spirit and Rockheaded completed our day of misery but not showing up in the doubles. Lost $50.

BANKROLL: $1,797.50

ED FOUNTAINE

TODAY’S PLAY: In the fifth race, Anchovy should like it wet; $20 to win. In the seventh (turf only), $20 win on Arc Above. In the ninth, $10 win on Angel Terrace. Total bet: $50

YESTERDAY’S RESULT: Most of our play was canceled when Gulfport scratched from the third race. Lost $5 double of North Slope in the third with Coffee Boy in the fourth.

BANKROLL: $1,944.50

ANTHONY AFFRUNTI

TODAY’S PLAY: Not much of a fan of today’s card, but see some promise in the seventh race. Kangaro looks well spotted here and always fires, so we’ll put $30 to win and $20 to place on him and hope the clouds stay full. Total bet: $50.

YESTERDAY’S RESULTS: Track went from good to sloppy and so too did the picks. Coffee Boy ran like a decaf, and finished fifth ending the win bet, and Flat Bold and Associate gave way to a pair of long shots nixing the exacta. All hope was on Geantor in the sixth, but he made a bit of run for fourth. Not good enough. Lost $50.

BANKROLL: $2,039.50
