In this summer’s Saratoga Showdown, the Post’s pony pickers John DaSilva, Ed Fountaine, Vic Cangialosi and Anthony Affrunti square off every day of the meet. Each starts with a bankroll of $2,000, with a maximum bet of $50 a day. May the best bettor win!

JOHN DaSILVA

TODAY’S PLAYS: In the sixth race, Seasoned Warrior comes off a good second-place finish while going shorter in career debut in June. Play a $10 exacta box of Seasoned Warrior with Derby Eve and Bliss. Also play a $5 exacta box of Seasoned Warrior with Beat the Drums. Total bets: $50.

YESTERDAY’S RESULT: All bets refunded as our key horse, Archwarrior, was a late scratch.

BANKROLL: $1,719.50

VIC CANGIALOSI

TODAY’S PLAYS: Looking for horses who actually will run today. Let’s play $10 to win on Red Jack in the fourth. Then $20 doubles using Stone Maker and Anchovy in the ninth with heavily favored Kauai Katie in the tenth. Total bets: $50.

YESTERDAY’S RESULTS: The conditions forced my two first timers, Brickyard Kitten and Archwarrior, to wait for another day. No money changes as scratches wiped out all wagers.

BANKROLL: $1,657

ED FOUNTAINE

TODAY’S PLAYS: In the seventh race (turf only), $20 win on Three Hearts; in the eighth (turf or dirt), $20 win, $10 place on Tapit Dancer. Total bets: $50.

YESTERDAY’S RESULT: In the sixth race, Todd Pletcher’s 2-year-old colt Archwarrior, rumored to be the fastest horse in the world, scratched because of the wet track. All bets refunded.

BANKROLL: $1,762.50

ANTHONY AFFRUNTI

TODAY’S PLAY: Too many questionable options on today’s card, so the best bet is to keep it simple. B Shanny looks real strong in the fifth, and if the track is wet, even better. We’ll play $50 to win and hope for the best. Total bet $50.

YESTERDAY’S RESULTS:Keyaly was too far behind to make up much of a run over the sloppy, soupy mess so we lost $10 on the win bet, but $40 was returned with the scratch of Archwarrior in the sixth. Lost $10.

BANKROLL: $2,043.35
