Cavs coach Paul Silas has not broached the subject with former Knick coach Don Chaney yet because he’s been unable to reach him since his dismissal last month. But Silas says he is thinking about asking Chaney to come to Cleveland next season as an assistant, thinking he’d be a solid influence on LeBron James.

“It’s certainly a possibility,” Silas told The Post. “He’s a special man.”

Chaney has been incommunicado since his dismissal, holed up in Houston, even blowing off Knick owner James Dolan.

Chaney, a former champion guard for the Celtics, was a teammate of Silas and the two have remained friends.
