In the latest cost-cutting measure President Trump has canceled subscriptions to the New York Times as well as the Washington Post. Trump looking to trim the fat said, “We don’t even want it in the White House anymore. They’re fake.” Trump will continue to read the New York Post, for the best sports section in the country, the Wall Street Journal for financial news as well as the Pocahontas Times to keep an eye on the competition.
Travel day for the Astros and Nationals. Pressed for a pick and desperate for a win we will make use of our outstanding college football record to make a quick buck. The No. 16 SMU Mustangs have crushed a few tomato cans to get to 7-0 but they did defeat both TCU and South Florida on the road. They visit the 3-4 Houston Cougars on Thursday night and should be back in class Friday morning (lol) at a perfect 8-0. Warning, do not try this at home, but we will take SMU at -500 for 20 units.
Last game to be played in Houston? Hope not. Our bet for the Astros to win the Series is not looking good. Had the Nats in Game 2, though, and they crushed the Astros, 12-3. Stephen Strasburg out-pitched Justin Verlander. Kurt Suzuki, Adam Eaton and Michael A. Taylor homered. Much-needed win takes us to -835 virdons.
