Canada 6 - 0 Qatar
FULL-TIME!
Canada absolutely demolishes nine-man Qatar 6-0 at BC Place Vancouver, moving to the top of Group B and closing in on the Round of 32.
Larin opened the scoring in the 16th minute, poking home from close range, before David doubled the lead 13 minutes later with a stunning right-footed volley.
Qatar went down to 10 men in the 33rd minute after El Amin was sent off via VAR for bringing down Buchanan just outside the box.
Canada capitalized, with David tapping into an empty net in first-half stoppage time.
The Maroons were reduced to nine men eight minutes into the second half when Madibo's late tackle on Kone resulted in the Sassuolo midfielder being stretchered off with an apparent broken leg.
Kone's replacement, Saliba, added a fourth in the 64th minute, bending a 20-yard free kick around the wall and in off the upright.
Al Manai then scored an own goal 11 minutes later, attempting to clear Shaffelburg's volley, before David completed his hat-trick in the second minute of second-half stoppage time after latching onto Saliba's pass.
Canada now sits first in Group B, level on points with Switzerland but with a superior goal difference.
Qatar is at the bottom and will want to forget this result quickly.
Canada dominated with 32 shots, 10 on target, and an xG of 4.46, while Qatar managed just two shots, none on target, and an xG of 0.18.
