Soccer superstar David Villa Sánchez, who was Spain’s all-time top goal scorer and who became the first recruit for the newly formed New York City FC, will play in Major League soccer’s 2015 season — and he plans on living in the city in style.

Villa toured many of the city’s most luxurious apartments, including the $125,000-a-month rental at 15 Central Park West that Robert De Niro snapped up. (Villa’s “lowball” bid of $90,000 a month was rejected, we hear.)

Villa also toured a four-bedroom, $125,000-a-month penthouse at Trump’s 502 Park Ave., and a three-bedroom rental at 737 Park Ave., apartment 12E, which recently dropped to $38,000 from $40,000 a month.

Villa moves to the city with wife, Patricia and their three kids. Trump Int’l Realty’s Michelle Griffith declined comment on the 502 Park peek.
