Germany 2 - 1 Côte d'Ivoire
What a match!
Germany snatches all three points late, beating Ivory Coast 2-1 in Toronto.
Havertz, Musiala, and Nmecha all came close for Germany, but Ivory Coast took the lead when Kessie smashed home from close range after Brown blocked Diallo's effort.
Germany had two goals disallowed for fouls by Nmecha and Musiala before Undav, a triple substitution, changed the game.
In the 68th minute, a cross from fellow substitute Amiri found Undav, who volleyed past Yahia Fofana from inside the area.
Then, in the 94th minute, Nmecha drilled a pass to Undav, who took a touch to turn and blasted a strike to win the match for Germany.
This win secures Germany's place in the round of 32!
Germany ended with a higher expected goals, 1.83-1.23.
Germany will win Group E with a point in their last match, or if Ecuador fails to beat Curacao.
Ivory Coast, who may have been safe with four points, now needs a result in their final game to reach the knockout rounds for the first time.
Undav had a night to remember, with five goal contributions in just 56 minutes of World Cup football.
Will Nagelsmann start Undav next time, or will he remain the super sub?
Thanks for tuning in!
