Norway kicks off their World Cup campaign with a dominant 4-1 victory over Iraq at Boston Stadium!
Norway took the lead in the 29th minute when Haaland tapped in Moller Wolfe's left-wing cross.
Iraq leveled six minutes before the break with Hussein's towering header from Al Ammari's floated delivery.
But Norway quickly retook the lead in the 43rd minute as Haaland closed down goalkeeper Hassan and found the net.
Iraq almost equalized before halftime, with Al Hamadi's strike trickling past the post and Hashim's volley flying just over.
The second half saw more of the same, with Ali skewing a close-range attempt before Ostigard glanced a header past Hassan from an Odegaard corner in the 76th minute.
Norway sealed the deal in second-half stoppage time when Thorstvedt's flick-on was inadvertently converted by Hussein for Norway's fourth.
Norway registered 12 shots with five on target (xG 2.59) compared to Iraq's 11 shots with one on target (xG 0.77).
Norway now tops Group I, level on points with France, but ahead on goal difference.
Iraq sits at the bottom and faces France on June 22.
Norway will turn their attention to Senegal on June 23.
