The champs have returned home.
The US women’s national soccer team touched down in Newark Monday afternoon, ahead of their ticker tape parade in New York later this week.
Fresh off their second straight World Cup title win, the team could be seen boogieing on the tarmac at Newark International Airport to Queen’s “We Are The Champions” and hugging as they made their way off the plane from Lyon, France.
Some of the soccer stars snapped selfies and took swigs from stemmed plastic cups they carried off the aircraft. Midfielder Julie Ertz triumphantly held up the World Cup trophy.
Once on the ground, the team — who wore gold medals on blue ribbons around their necks — broke out in a chant of “We Will Rock You.”
The champs, who edged out the Netherlands 2-0 in their Finals win Sunday, will be honored Wednesday in a parade up lower Manhattan’s Canyon of Heroes.
Then, co-captains Megan Rapinoe and Alex Morgan will jet with their teammates to the ESPYS in Los Angeles, The Post has learned.
