The world’s fastest man has been forced to slow down.

Usain Bolt, the eight-time Olympic gold medalist, ruptured his Achilles in during a soccer charity match on Sunday.

“Raptured Achilles,” Bolt posted on X following the game, “but done know we a warrior 💪🏿.”

Bolt also a posted a photo of himself sitting inside the locker room holding crutches and his right foot can be seen in a boot.

The dynamo represented the Soccer Aid World XI team as captain and center-back, facing England, which had many prolific footballing legends, including Jill Scott, Joe Cole and Jermain Defoe.

Everything was seemingly well until the second half ensued.

England saw a blistering attack, during which Defoe danced through Soccer Aid World’s defensive third.

As his mastery carried him to his opponent’s backline, Bolt could be seen reaching down for his ankle.

At first glance, it seemed as if Bolt had rolled his ankle. That was until medics arrived, carrying Bolt off the pitch.
