Lionel Messi has finally done it.

The 35-year-old soccer legend won his first World Cup as Argentina defeated France in the 2022 World Cup final in a penalty shootout.

Argentina led 2-0 at halftime before France tied it in the second half to force extra time, where Messi and Kylian Mbappe each scored before the shootout.

Lionel Messi’s wife could hardly contain her excitement Sunday after Argentina defeated France in a wild finish at the 2022 World Cup.

Antonela Roccuzzo was photographed in the stands at Lusail Stadium in Qatar, where she witnessed Messi claim his first-ever World Cup title after Gonzalo Montiel nailed the winning penalty kick.

Roccuzzo, who has been married to Messi since 2017, was seen sporting his No. 10 jersey and a white cap as she watched the 35-year-old athlete score two goals against France, one on a penalty kick in the 23rd minute and another in extra time at the 108th minute.

Qatar might not be too happy with Emiliano Martinez.

After winning the tournament’s Golden Glove award, Martinez celebrated by putting the trophy — which is shaped like a hand — to his crotch and pumping.

On the Fox coverage, one broadcaster could be heard saying, “Oh no,” after the gesture. On BBC, one person said, “No, don’t do that, Emi. Don’t do that.”

Argentina win the World Cup

Argentina are World Cup champions for the first time since 1986, beating France 4-3 on penalties, winning the shootout 4-2.

It's the first ever World Cup title for Lionel Messi, and it comes in one of the greatest matches we've ever seen. Gonzalo Montiel had the winning kick, covering his eyes with his shirt afterwards, crying.
