Say, fellas, when you get a chance, do us all a favor and do absolutely nothing. It’s an ASAP matter, but it can wait.

To only limited surprise, Adam Silver issued a look-away pass to the Spurs’ super-duper star Victor Wembanyama for landing a vicious, intended and arguably felonious, full-swinging elbow to the undefended head of Timberwolves defender Naz Reid in Game 4 of their playoff series Sunday.

Wembanyama was hit with the minimum, an immediate ejection, to await next-day news that he’d be suspended for his indefensible, long-term-health-threatening — think Rudy Tomjanovich-Kermit Washington — assault.

But soon it became clear that Silver, after careful inspection and consideration, would jump into action and do nothing. The MVP candidate would play on!
