The Islanders were busy yesterday as they made three transactions. First, they traded center Craig Charron to the Maple Leafs for left winger Niclas Andersson, who played for the Islanders from 1995-97. During the 1996-97 season, Andersson tallied 12 goals and 31 assists.

In another move, the Islanders re-signed defensive Vladimir Chebaturkin, a restricted free agent, to a one-year deal. The team has two more restricted free agents to sign: center Mats Lindgren and right wing Mark Lawrence.

The Isles also announced they will be affiliated with the Trenton Titans, a first-year team in the ECHL.
