Another Barstool Sports personality is out, but founder Dave Portnoy doesn’t appear to be shedding any tears this time around.
Portnoy announced during Monday’s “Barstool Rundown” that Jeff Nadu’s time with the company had ended due to a contract dispute.
The issue arose due to what the podcaster/personality felt he deserved during the optional second year of his contract.
Portnoy said Barstool gave him a $10,000 raise and that Nadu responded by saying he was expecting a more significant increase in pay.
“I think he wanted $200,000 a year,” Portnoy said.
“I’m like, ‘You signed a contract. You fulfill your contract, and at the end of your contract, we’ll discuss what you want,’” the Barstool founder told a stunned Dan “Big Cat” Katz and Kevin “KFC” Clancy. “This is crazy. You’re going to do this like everyb-oy else. You know what Nadu, I’m so f–king sick of you if you want to take your s–t and leave we’ll let you out of your contact.
“Do whatever you want to do, but we’re not doing 100 percent raises after one year.”
In a statement that Portnoy read on air, Nadu said that he felt that the best decision for himself was to leave Barstool and go out on his own. Portnoy continued to rip apart Nadu’s decision eventually calling him the “most ungrateful, selfish pig I ever met.”
Nadu had returned to the company last summer.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Nadu defended his decision.
“You can hate on me and think you know but very few would do what I did. Keep saying I can’t,” he wrote on Twitter.

The decision, according to Portnoy, ultimately came from Barstool’s parent company Penn Entertainment.

This recent exit, however, won’t be one Portnoy will likely lose much sleep over.
