Ben Rice has been through this before, needing to find a way to stay sharp while receiving inconsistent playing time.

“It can only really impact you if you let it, if you let that get in your head. There have been plenty of situations in my life where I’ve played less often than [I am now],” Rice told The Post on Friday before sitting on the bench in the the Yankees’ 5-3 loss to the Orioles in The Bronx. “When I first got to the minor leagues, I was playing once a week.”

Friday night’s game marked the second straight game Rice did not start.
