It was a courtside date night for Nets guard Ben Simmons and his fiancée, British TV presenter Maya Jama.
The future newlyweds took in a recent Nets game as part of the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, where they watched Brooklyn take on the Milwaukee Bucks. As the cameras panned to Simmons, 25, and Jama, 27, the couple could be seen sitting together as they took in the action on the court, according to a screenshot obtained by Sideaction.com.

Ben Simmons was traded to the Nets by the Sixers in February 2022. Corey Sipkin for the NY POSTSimmons, the first overall pick in 2016, arrived in Brooklyn in February after being traded by the Philadelphia 76ers. Though he didn’t suit up this past season, the 6-foot-11 athlete is continuing his recovery from back surgery in May.
When Simmons does take the court again, he’ll have a new teammate in former Jazz forward Royce O’Neale, who was traded from Utah last month. It remains to be seen if the duo will be playing with Kevin Durant, however, as he recently requested a trade from the Nets after three years in Brooklyn.
In the meantime, it seems Simmons is going to soak up his summer with Jama, whom he quietly got engaged to over the holidays, according to reports.
