The day after stumbling down the executive office steps, George Steinbrenner walked into Yankee Stadium with a noticeable limp but without incident. The Boss has been seen limping throughout this season, so it appeared unrelated to the close call from Saturday, when he nearly took a catastrophic fall.

When asked how his health was, Steinbrenner answered, “Good.” He refused to answer questions about his team or whether New York was becoming a Mets town.

He arrived via private car just after 4 p.m. A team employee walked alongside him, as did a security guard who engaged Steinbrenner in conversation to distract him from a Post reporter.
