TALLAHASSEE – Florida State coach Bobby Bowden quickly issued a statement yesterday after referring to Notre Dame as “serial killers.”

“In the press conference after the game, I used an analogy that I should not have said, especially in the wake of recent events,” said Bowden. “I certainly meant no disrespect by the response I gave to the question.”
