The WNBA trade deadline came and went with only one deal unfolding Thursday afternoon.

The Mystics traded forward Aaliyah Edwards to the Sun for guard Jacy Sheldon and the rights to a 2026 first-round pick swap.

There were a few trades in the preceding days, but overall the trade deadline was a snore without any major trades happening, as has been the case in past years.

Whether that will change in future years with a new collective bargaining agreement incoming remains to be seen. The Women’s National Players’ Association is fighting for a softer cap, which could allow teams more flexibility to make midseason moves.
