The fallout from Rory McIlroy’s thrilling 2025 Masters win continues.

Days after the Northern Irishman completed a career Grand Slam at Augusta National, where he defeated England’s Justin Rose in a one-hole playoff Sunday, comments made at the tournament by McIlroy’s ex-fiancée, tennis star Caroline Wozniacki, have circulated online.

Wozniacki, now married to former Knicks player David Lee, with whom she’s expecting her third child, spoke with ESPN at Augusta about her Masters experience and projected a winner not named McIlroy.

“David and I, my husband, we always pick a winner before the tournament starts,” Wozniacki said, as covered by The Mirror. “We pick one that we think has a big chance of winning, and that was [Ludvig] Åberg.”

Although the comments stirred buzz given McIlroy’s history with Wozniacki — the golfer is said to have broken off the engagement after wedding invites had been mailed out in 2014 — the 2018 Australian Open winner has long put that romance in the rearview.

“The Rory stuff is water under the bridge at this point. She was invited to the Masters and she’s a huge sports fan and David is an avid golfer,” a source told Us Weekly Monday, adding Wozniacki “has moved on with her life.”

Wozniacki, 34, confirmed her romance with Lee, 41, in 2017. They tied the knot two years later.

Meanwhile, McIlroy married Erica Stoll in 2017, with the couple welcoming daughter Poppy in 2020.

Stoll and Poppy were at Augusta on Sunday when McIlroy captured his first green jacket in an emotional scene.

McIlroy, who reconciled with Stoll last summer after initially filing for divorce in May 2024, embraced his biggest fans as he celebrated the career milestone after a rollercoaster final round.

“There were points in my career where I didn’t know if I would have this nice garment over my shoulders,’’ McIlroy said. “I certainly didn’t make it easy. I was nervous. It was one of the toughest days I’ve ever had on the golf course.’’

Åberg was in contention throughout the week — and at one point was tied for the lead on Sunday — before finishing the tournament with a disastrous triple-bogey that dropped him into a tie for seventh.

Entering Sunday, McIlroy had last won a major title in 2014 at the PGA Championship.
