The defending champion is facing elimination.

Xaverian fell to Fordham Prep, 9-3, in the winner’s bracket of the CHSAA Class AA baseball championship round Thursday night. Now the Clippers have to play their third game in three days Friday against division rival and red-hot Archbishop Molloy to avoid being ousted from the playoffs.

That’s the highlight of Friday’s playoff slate at St. John’s University with the JV CHSAA Class AA final between Molloy and Iona Prep following it.

It all begins 2:30 p.m. with Marc Raimondi’s live blog. There will also be updates from the elimination game between St. Joseph by the Sea and St. Raymond up at Salesian HS in New Rochelle and Twitter updates from the PSAL Class A semifinal Game 1s.
