The Rory and Scottie Show is prominently in play — Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler in the thick of contention entering Friday’s second round. 

McIlroy trying to complete the career Grand Slam with a first Masters victory in his 11th go at it was No. 1 on the most compelling story list entering the week. 

Scheffler trying to repeat as Masters champion and join Jack Nicklaus as the only players to win three in four years was No. 1A on that storyline list.
