The Cowboys (8-3) are on a three-game winning streak and host Seattle (6-5) on Thursday night, starting their tough stretch of December games.
But Craig Carton sees a potential bump in the road.
On Tuesday’s “The Carton Show” on FS1, Carton learned that quarterback Dak Prescott is expecting a daughter with girlfriend Sarah Jane Ramos in March.
The news was announced Monday, and Carton went back and forth about the subject with his co-hosts.
“That’s a mistake,” Carton said. “What? Why did you tell me that? That changes everything.”
One of his cohosts, Willie Colon, said: “Why does that change everything?”
“There goes the Cowboys’ season. Aww,” Carton added.
“Are you not a big fan of fatherhood?” Colon asked.

You have beautiful kids. You (other hosts) have kids as well …This is a terrible distraction now for Dak Prescott. He’s not married, right? So, now I got a question. Is she a gold digger? She might not be. I gotta question it, right? Number three, you got everything going great. The last thing you need right now is a distraction.”
“I hope they have a beautiful, healthy child. Hope it all works out, but this is not what Cowboy fans want to hear.”
Over the holiday weekend, Prescott went public with the news.
Carton argued that a pregnancy would be a distraction for the Cowboys’ QB. FS1He mentioned he and Ramos have a name picked out, but will remain tight-lipped about that until the due date in March.
“Super, super blessed to have that responsibility, but at the same time have that opportunity to start a family and bring a child into this world,” he said. “I know what my mom means to me and, in a sense, have that feeling in a different role is something I’m looking forward to.”
Prescott, 30, lost his mother, Peggy to colon cancer 2013 and has multiple tattoos in honor of her, such as a Pegasus on his right leg.
