For a rebuilding Nets team, this season isn’t just about tanking for tomorrow’s lottery pick, but also developing the young players they have today.

As much whining as fans have done over limited playing time for the Nets’ record rookie class, youth has been served over the past week.

In three straight games against the Knicks, 76ers and Bucks, the Nets got 20-point outings from long-term foundation pieces, encouraging performances from prospects 21 years old or younger that the fans can invest in.

First came starting power forward Noah Clowney’s 31-point eruption last Monday in which he went 7-of-13 from 3-point range.
