Bolstering their Albany farm, the Devils yesterday signed 645-game NHL veteran LW Dean McAmmond to an AHL contract.

A 1991 first-round pick by the Blakckhawks, McAmmond represented Canada at the 1996 and 2000 World Championships, and played 303 games for the Oilers, and also played for Philly, Calgary and Colorado, as well as Chicago. The 31-year-old, acquired as an unrestricted free agent, has 135 goals and 327 points in his NHL career.
