While his agent Joe Glass said health is not an issue with Larry Brown, the Knick coach underwent a battery of tests with bladder specialists Monday as he still looks to correct a urinary problem that nearly forced him to quit coaching during his last season with the Pistons.

Brown said last month he would have another surgery one week after the season in one last attempt to correct the problem. But Brown backtracked last week, saying he may only need tests.

“I’m not going to discuss his health, it’s private,” Glass said. “It’s been discussed way too much already. He’s said time and again it’s not going to affect him coaching the team.”

For all his ugly exits, Brown has never bolted after one season.

“I don’t see him leaving after one year,” said Pacer president Donnie Walsh, who’s known Brown since their UNC days. “Unless it’s a health issue.”

Recently, Brown said of the bladder issue, “I’ve learned to live with it. I don’t enjoy it. But I’m OK to do my job.”
