Conflicting reports — imagine that — are coming out of Minnesota regarding Brett Favre participating in Vikings training camp on time.

WCCO Radio’s Mark Rosen reported yesterday that “Barring some unforeseen major physical setback, Brett Favre will be at training camp in Mankato when they open up the end of July.”

However, Favre’s agent, Bus Cook, e-mailed the St. Paul Pioneer Press a one word response — “Nope” — when asked if there was any truth to the WCCO report.

Earlier reports have said Favre has a deal in place with the Vikings, who already have ordered No. 4 jerseys from Reebok.

The Pioneer Press also reports “Favre is looking for a home in the gated Bearpath community in Eden Prairie, which isn’t far from the Vikings’ facilities.”
