Emma Meesseman’s tremendous leap of faith to join the Liberty midseason is unlike anything we’ve seen in the WNBA.

Not even Sandy Brondello, who’s been around the league since 1998, could think of a similar midseason acquisition of Meesseman’s stature.

Some have compared it to when Hall of Famer Sylvia Fowles forced a trade out of Chicago midseason in 2015 and helped the Lynx win a title that season.

Nevertheless, Meesseman’s situation is different.
