“I am just waiting to see [Lindor] and give him a big hug and talk a little bit about it,” Alvarez told The Post.

“It” refers to the hamate bone surgery that Lindor underwent Wednesday on his left hand, after a stress reaction was diagnosed.

Lindor is facing a six-week recovery that has left in question whether he will be ready for Opening Day.
