DETROIT — Tom Thibodeau is correct. The Knicks were one Mikal Bridges shot from redirecting the conversation to the positive developments of their first-round series against the Pistons. 

But Bridges missed. He missed four times in the final four minutes of Game 2, actually. And ignoring everything else is not on the table for the Knicks or their coach. 

Not under these circumstances. 

The feel-good train filled with chill vibes and consolation prizes departed from the station in the summertime, when the Knicks spilled their assets for Bridges and Karl-Anthony Towns.
