It was high energy. It was a high-wire act. It was must-see TV. It was an exhilarating amusement park ride that was part roller coaster, part souped-up bumper cars.

The electric run that the fearless, wrecking-ball rookie running back, Cam Skattebo, had for the Giants before suffering a gruesome ankle injury Sunday that has sidelined him for the rest of the season is the reason veteran receiver Darius Slayton called him “one of one.’’

Now, with Skattebo, his 410 rushing yards and five TDs and his 24 receptions and two more TDs out until 2026, the Giants must replace “one of one’’ with two.
