It is not a case of Harbaugh getting whatever he wants, because there is that darn salary cap to deal with. Money talks at this juncture of the NFL calendar and the Giants are not brimming with salary cap space — about $14.2 million, according to Over the Cap. 

Still, Harbaugh took the job only after getting assurances that his voice will be the loudest in the building, when it comes to procuring players. General manager Joe Schoen has heard what Harbaugh wants and the two of them will take the lead in getting it done, with newly hired Dawn Aponte as the chief negotiator when it comes to contract dollars and sense.
