What absolutely cannot happen, happened again for a team that always seems to get something wrong. The Giants played a game Sunday night essentially without the services of a placekicker. No, they did not forget to activate one. No, they did not decide they were not interested in getting points three at a time and opted to keep their kicker on the bench.

What the Giants did Sunday night was play a game, for the second time in one calendar year, without a kicker because Graham Gano got hurt and was unable to play. This might happen to a team once a half decade or so. Teams go years without this strange issue befalling them. Leave it to the Giants to invent ridiculous ways to lose, over and over again.
