Here, we will examine the most notable former Yankees the Mets have acquired over the years. (We are not examining former Mets acquired by the Yankees, so you won’t see the likes of Dwight Gooden, Darryl Strawberry and Carlos Beltrán referenced here.)

We’re also going to limit this to the past 40 years, partly to avoid discussing Yogi Berra’s four games played for the Mets or Dave Kingman’s eight games with the Yankees before he later returned to Queens.
