Forest Hills’ Maurice Harkless yesterday verbally committed to play basketball at Connecticut.

The 6-foot-8 junior forward picked the Huskies over St. John’s, Kentucky, Fordham and Seton Hall.

“It’s the best situation for me if I want to win a national championship,” he said. “I’m excited.”
