Turns out they just needed more of The Big Sleep.
Trent Grisham, who has earned that nickname from his manager for his low-key and calm demeanor, delivered his latest big swing in a season full of them on Tuesday, crushing a grand slam to help the Yankees take the series opener against the Astros.
Moments like that have started to become routine for Grisham, who has provided more than the Yankees possibly could have expected this season while rising to the occasion in big spots.
