The Nets’ bench is getting smaller by the week. Marcus Williams suffered a sprained left wrist yesterday and will be out indefinitely, the team announced.

Williams, who went for an MRI after sustaining the injury in practice, now joins former UConn teammate Josh Boone (shoulder surgery) and guard Eddie House (arthroscopic knee surgery) on the sidelines.

“He went for a loose ball and it was bent, and it kind of got caught on Brandon Bowman’s hip and bent back. It’s swollen,” said coach Lawrence Frank before the results were known. “It’s cause for concern because it’s swollen.”
