Golf great Jack Nicklaus said Tuesday that fellow links ace Tiger Woods “needs our help” after being arrested on a DUI charge near his Florida home.

“I feel bad for Tiger. Tiger’s a friend. He’s been great for the game of golf,” Nicklaus, who lives in North Palm Beach, said during a press conference in Ohio, according to the Golf Channel.

“He needs our help. I wish him well.”

Nicklaus added that he “feels bad” that Woods might not be able to break his championship record, given his recent health issues.

“Am I saddened he’s not playing? Absolutely,” he said.
