In the age-old battle of weighing production against potential, the Giants could choose to believe that a breakout still is near for 2023 third-round pick Jalin Hyatt.

But that would require ignoring that Montrell Washington, Beaux Collins and Gunner Olszewski — plus maybe a few other depth receivers — made more plays than Hyatt this summer entering Thursday’s preseason finale against the Patriots.

He also missed about a week with an injury before returning to play against the Jets.

“We had him on a rep count for the last game, and he did what he needed to do: ran a couple good routes, had a play [21-yard catch from the two-yard line] backed up,” head coach Brian Daboll said. “This [game] will be important for a lot of guys.”
