Back in 2009, the Jets were flying home after a 24-10 loss to the Saints in New Orleans when coach Rex Ryan sought out general manager Mike Tannenbaum on the plane and begged him to add another wide receiver.

A few days later, Tannenbaum swung a trade for Braylon Edwards, and Edwards helped the Jets reach two straight AFC Championship games. 

Could Aaron Glenn be approaching Darren Mougey in a few weeks with a similar request?

It feels like we’re heading that way. The Jets built their initial 53-man roster this week and there is no doubt what the biggest position of concern is. The team’s wide receiver room looks like a major weakness after star Garrett Wilson.
