The Giants have raided the now-defunct XFL. Well, not exactly raided, but they have added Steve Malin to their scouting staff. Malin spent last season as a regional scout in the XFL and becomes the first from that league to join the Giants. Prior to his stint in the XFL, Malin was an assistant coach at SMU.

The Giants yesterday also signed two free agent cornerbacks, Quincy Coleman of Jackson State and Kelly Herndon of Toledo.
