The Giants want to add to their roster a kicker who can compete with Matt Bryant for the job. Whether they added that player this week by signing Todd France remains to be seen.

France has never kicked in the NFL but was in training camp with the Vikings the past two summers. He made four of eight field goals (including a 53-yarder) last year for the Rhein Fire in NFL Europe. In college at the University of Toledo, France made 56 of his 81 field-goal attempts.
