One day before the NFL Draft, the Giants’ first-round strategy is coming into sharper focus. They are expecting to trade up out of their No. 25 spot and it is believed the Giants have targeted three defensive linemen, Jerome McDougle of Miami, Michael Haynes of Penn State and Ty Warren of Texas A&M.

The Giants do not want to part with a first-day pick but would trade a fourth-round selection if need be. Giants insiders believe that of the three linemen they covet, McDougle will probably be the first to go, making it difficult to move up into the No. 15 range to get him. If any of the three are still on the board when the draft moves past the mid-way point of the first round, the Giants will actively look to trade up into the 18-24 range to get their man.
