A beloved former Met has literally dreamed of beating them.

After signing with the Padres, Jose Iglesias went to sleep and had a dream that he wants to become reality: He looped a walk-off hit in the postseason to knock off the team with which he became a cult hero — and the team that did not want him back for an encore.

“It was a blooper over the first baseman,” Iglesias said before his Padres fell 4-3 to the Yankees in the series finale in The Bronx on Wednesday.

Most of the other details in the dream remain hazy, but Iglesias clearly remembers a strange offseason.
