They were all-conference college players who went undrafted. 

Brooklyn natives Julian Champagnie and Jose Alvarado weren’t supposed to make it in the NBA, at least according to the experts, scouts and executives who made these decisions. 

And, yet, Monday night, on the sport’s biggest stage, they will step on the Madison Square Garden floor for the biggest game this building has seen in decades.
