It’s all about the March 7 trade deadline and it’s all about a push for the playoffs.

But the twains met at UBS Arena on Tuesday night when the Blueshirts recorded a 5-1 victory over the Islanders to remain two points out of the conference’s second wild-card spot on a night where top-four defensemen K’Andre Miller and Adam Fox were both forced out of the game by the 3:16 mark of the third period.

Miller — who took two second-period shifts before repairing to the room with 13:41 remaining in the second period — and Fox — who grabbed his left shoulder after an entanglement in front with Kyle MacLean for which No. 23 was called for hooking at 3:16 of the third — are both being “evaluated,” per head coach Peter Laviolette.

But if either or both would be down for the long term, the Rangers might not be able to move pending free agent Ryan Lindgren at the deadline.
