Kenny Atkinson got fired in Brooklyn. He’s likely to get NBA Coach of the Year in Cleveland. 

Good for him. It would be well deserved. 

Nets fans can’t agree on much — who is to blame for the Big 3’s breakup, whether they should star-hunt or rebuild through the draft, what color is the sky. But the one thing they seem to agree on is Atkinson — who had his Cavaliers at an NBA-best 54–10 entering Tuesday — got a raw deal when he got fired in 2020. 

Yes, we said fired. No semantics being played here.
