And one seventh-inning turn around the Tigers lineup on a Tuesday in September to dull (at least in the moment) Aaron Judge’s achievement and bring out one of those worrisome issues with the Yankees that make you wonder about their playoff sturdiness.

Judge homered in the bottom of the first. His 44th this season and, of more resonance, the 359th of his career. That moved him ahead of Yogi Berra and put him behind just the Yankees Mount Rushmore — Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Lou Gehrig and Joe DiMaggio — for most homers in franchise history.

The previous top five had been in place since Mantle joined it on Aug. 7, 1957. And when Mantle homered twice on Sept. 28, 1960 to pass Berra, the current top four was solidified. And Judge is probably just days away from crashing that party, with DiMaggio next at 361 homers.
