The Knicks emerged from the draft with no first-rounders, a couple of mid second-rounders and, most importantly, the preservation of cap space.
That was the goal.
But the next steps, specifically how Leon Rose will fill out what he hopes to be a championship bench, remain murky.
And that’s because of the luxury-tax implications associated with James Dolan’s public stance of refusing to spend into the second apron.
